SURVIVING PHOTOSHOOTS WITH TODDLERS
Yearly family pictures in my household is a must, no exceptions. This year was a little challenging because my husband couldn’t take part due to his work schedule which by the way, he was extremely happy about (smh). My husband hates taking pictures but bares with me once a year because it’s something I enjoy doing. Like why do men hate taking pictures? We can’t control our children’s growth but we can certainly take a few minutes in time to capture moments. Moments that our children’s children will have for keepsake. Over the years my family has grown and oh baby, it’s gotten a bit more difficult.
We recently took pictures because we welcomed our son Mayson to the family a little over a year ago. I’ve shared a few pics from our shoot on instagram but thought I’d a digital album with you. I have two toddlers boys, ages 1 & 2 that have more energy then an energizer bunny so just imagine trying to get them to stand still in 92 degree weather; yes I’m crazy. I also have two teenage daughters but they live for pictures, they are always ready to pose. Christian (2yr) took one picture and wanted snacks right after. Mayson just wanted to do his own thing and wander off. He also doesn’t like being told what to do. Between bribing Christian with snacks and running after Mayson after every shot, we managed to get a few good ones, thank God. I’m so thankful for our family photographer Tara Evans, she’s so patient and understanding. I love her to life, take a look!D
