CARING FOR YOUR BABY NATURAL HAIR

Mayson has a full head of thick tight curls, so wash days are always fun, says no one EVER! at least not for me. On the days I have to wash his hair, I literally have to prepare my mind for his drama; no lie. He’s so dramatic and over the top. Everything hurts! applying water, pouring the shampoo into his scalp, the rinsing, the detangling, oh not to mention trying to comb through his hair; you can forget it. If I could skip all of that he’d be just fine, there wouldn’t be a single tear drop.

Lately, I haven’t been to eager to wash his hair so he has gone several weeks without a wash (I’d prefer not to be judged but if you must, lol judge away.) When I do wash his hair, I mean.. when he lets me I like to use Honey be naturals baby line. From the shampoo to the conditioner to the hair smoothie to the leave in conditioner; they all work wonders for his texture. I also love using Uncle funky’s curl stimulator after I’ve shampooed and conditioned his hair. It helps to liven up his curls, leaves his hair looking super shiny & curly but most importantly it helps to style his hair quickly since he never has any patience. I separate his hair in a few sections and pump out a small amount into my fingers and finger comb it throughout his hair. It dry’s up pretty quickly too.

I’m really praying he gets over this quickly because if he doesn’t, he turns 2 next year, he may have to get a hair cut. Maybe shaving both sides of his hair leaving hair on top might help make it more manageable. I don’t know, we shall see.
